Enterprise sophomore tailback Zee Sims rushed for 142 yards on just 10 carries and scored three TDs as Enterprise defeated Quitman for the first time since 1977 as the Bulldogs won 42-19. EHS amassed 454 total yards in the win. Enterprise scored on its first six possessions and never punted; while the defense was equally dominant sacking Quitman QB Jias Davis twice and intercepting two passes. QHS kicked off to EHS to start the game and the Bulldogs wasted little time in scoring, using only four plays and scoring on Zee Sims 38 yard run. Trace Roy added the extra point to give EHS a 7-0 lead just two minutes into the contest. EHS kicked off to the Panthers, and with QHS facing 3rd and long; QHS QB Jias Davis' pass was tipped by Sims and landed in the arms of QHS' Tommy Chambers, who raced to the Bulldog end zone to complete the 71 yard TD pass play. QHS added the PAT to knot the score 7-7 with eight minutes left in the 1st quarter. QHS kicked off EHS and the Bulldogs promptly marched down the field in eight plays, scoring  on Sims 1 yard TD and after Roy kicked the PAT it EHS led 14-7 with a minute left in the 1st quarter. EHS held Quitman to a three and out and forced a Panther punt on QHS' next series. As would be the caee the entire night the QHS defense simply could not stop the Bulldog offense as Derryon Gray started the drive with a 34 yard pass to Blake Wilkins to the QHS 30 yard line followed by an 18 yard run by Parks Burt; and Sims ended the drive with his third straight TD, an 11 yard run. Roy added the point after to give EHS a 21-7 lead with eight minutes left in the first half.  EHS held Quitman to another three and out and got the football back at its 37 yard line. EHS stormed down the field in six plays with Gavyn Dear scoring on a 12 yard run; Roy's kick made the score 28-7 Enterprise with four minutes left in the 2nd quarter. EHS held Quitman to a third three and out but the Bulldogs were assessed a holding penalty on the punt giving Quitman a first down and QHS took advantage, scoring on Davis' 17 yard run; Quitman missed the PAT leaving the score 28-13 Enterprise with 1:53 left in the 1st half which would be the Halftime score. EHS kicked off to Quitman to start the 2nd half but the Panther drive would be brief as Bulldog Junior strong safety Jake Shelby would pick off Davis, giving EHS possession at the QHS 34 yard line.  EHS scored on Dear's second straight TD to take a 35-13 lead three minutes into the third quarter.  EHS would force Quitman to punt on its next possession and EHS took over at its own 14 yard line. The Bulldogs marched down the field scoring on Parks Burt's seven yard TD run and Roy's sixth consecutive  extra point and EHS led 42-13 with 1:33 left in the 3rd. In the 4th quarter Enterprise got sloppy losing two fumbles; Quitman recovered one of those fumbles at the EHS 33 yard line to score the last points of the Ballgame. EHS stopped the run for two as the final score would be 42-19 Enterprise. EHS fumbled again on its next possession and QHS recovered at the Bulldog 37. Davis completed a pass to the EHS 4 yard line where Bulldog Sophomore  Free Safety Jayce Gunn made a touchdown-saving tackle. Two plays later Jake Shelby made his second Interception of the game and returned the pick to the EHS 10 yard line. A penalty on the return  put EHS at its on one-yard line, but Trace Roy broke an 18 yard run against the tired QHS defense to get the Bulldogs out of the shadow of their goal posts. EHS drove to the QHS 45 yard line before time expired with EHS taking the 42-19 win, its first win over Quitman since 1977.

But, why do you think Enterprise dominated the line of scrimmage so strongly? It appears both teams has about 7 - 9 seniors. That was surprising.

I dont know but Coach Jimmerson did a good job rebuilding the OL seeing as we only had one starter coming back; we moved Percell Lindsey, to Center, he played DT primarily last year;   he is very strong about 5'10 315 pounds; and we had Seth Jackson our only returning OL he made 1st Team All-State last year, he is about 6'1 275; and the player who has also emerged is our Right Tackle Wesley Culbreth, a sophomore about 6'4 285; and our little Guards have done a good job Senior Tristan Singley and Junior Luke Hartman; both of those guys are like 5''7-5'8 175 pounds but they play like giants; Quitman was very big upfront but we whipped them and they never stopped us we stopped ourselves; we never punted the whole game.
