George Co vs Picayune

A huge game with playoff seeding on the line for this one. I believe if GC wins this game they will be Region 4 champs. I think GC beats Goula next week. A Picayune win clinches the Region title for them and homefield advantage thru the playoffs as Regions 2 and 4 have homefield this season. I expect both teams to score more than 40. I will say 54-49 GC.

Picayune by 2 TD's

Defensively I am not sure they can stop Knight. I was at the Picayune game when they played Goula and their QB torched them in the first half. Picayune made the adjustment in the second half and kept him in check. Not sure if they can contain Knight as he is a threat to take off running if he cant find an open receiver. But if picayune can force him into some bad throws and get a couple picks Picayune will grind the clock and keep him off the field.

Man this is a tale of two different styles. GC is high flying and fast paced. The knight kid is something special and they have Wr's to complement him. The Yune is a ball control time consuming offense. Honestly don't know if either one of them can stop the other. I think it comes down to which ever one makes the most mistakes and turns the ball over.

Vott the last thing I want is a shootout, but Dodd ain't around to kick the PAT all night either.  That and I think the OT rules have changed since then, but it should be a great ballgame regardless of outcome.  Hopefully the homefield advantage will help Picayune out.

Have not seen Knight or George County, but know exactly what Picayune does year in , year out. It doesn't matter how explosive GC's offense is.

To beat Picayune, you have to get some stops on defense and your offense has to play some ball control for your defense to rest.

If not, you get to the 4th QTR with a totally gassed defense and that means game over against that rushing attack

I dont see GC playing ball control whatsoever. I mean Knight went for like 560yds passing with 8td passes and one rushing last week. I think GC had 56pts at half. So I doubt they try to control the clock at all. Picayune will eat some time off for sure unless they bust some long runs and score quickly which is what I expect. Last team with the ball wins this one.

I have not seen either of the films from those games but from what I gathered was that both teams gave up some scores late against 2nd Unit/JV players. Not sure how true obviously, but it would be plausible.

With Picayune always being good as they are, even their 2nd unit/JV shouldnt be giving up that many points.
