Bulldogs4
Anyone wondering if Bama was going to drop down with a new coach, the answer is a resounding no. Total domination tonight.

MSTSatchmo
WOW. This has been like two completely different games from one half to the other.

NoWammies
That’s prob my 2nd favorite not pulling for anybody game to watch of all time slightly behind Texas/USC national championship. Unfortunately I had to watch it with my deck crew guys who are all from Alabama.
Dawg83
Amazing game. Thought Georgia’s approach on the final drive was too aggressive. No need to take the shot they took on the INT…. It was 1st down, ball at the 20, two timeouts still, nearly a minute on the clock…. Not the time to take that risk, in my opinion.
Bulldogs4
Agree with you that there was no need to go for the end zone that quickly. My thoughts on Georgia-Bama. Bama has much more raw talent than Georgia. Georgia is much better coached (from an on the field during the game point of view). Milroe is a good player. Not sure why he gets so much criticism. The guy is a playmaker. It worked out for Bama late but IMO their clock management in the second half was poor and they did not utilize their RB’s nearly enough in the second half. They extended the time of the game to give Georgia more opportunities. Lastly, I don’t understand going for two early. Why? When it is later in the game, absolutely you go for two. But chasing points in the first half or the third quarter, often times ends up biting the team in the rear end. Bama is a lot like Jack Nicklaus in his prime. In big tournaments he would almost always birdie the first hole. Thus putting pressure on his opponent(s). Bama did the same last night except they had four straight birdies to start the game. Very difficult to recover from that though to Georgia’s credit they did. The final bell said a W for Bama and that is all that matters. Dawg83
Want to revisit something we discussed in January…. Judkins….. Looking at OM’s current RB situation…. Maybe that wasn’t a loss that should’ve been ignored.
Unionman76
Parrish appeared to be hurt most of the game
Bulldogs4
Of course you play with who you have. FTOLI it appeared Judkins was a cancer on the team. It seemed like the OL did not block as hard for him as the other RB’s. A great talent no doubt but seemingly very selfish. I guess we will see how the season plays out at Ohio State for him. I still think Ole Miss could have popped a RB run there late and possibly had a big gain. Kiffin has done that before. They still had time. Easy to speculate now but I was actually expecting him to do just that. KY was completely ignoring the run on defense.
NoWammies
It’s time to start asking the question, what’s going on with Kiffin and UBIV? Some say he’s hurt. Some say he hasn’t practiced well. When Parrish got banged up I expected to see him come in some with Jones but all we got was him returning kickoffs. If he’s hurt then he wouldn’t be returning kickoffs or only getting a few 4Q carries the last few games before yesterday.

He isn’t doing something right in practice or he’d be getting meaningful carries, especially in a game like yesterday when OM was short at that position. Bulldogs4
Looking ahead, State actually catches Georgia at a good time as they playing two rivalry games (Bama & Auburn) back to back. Obviously we will be a heavy underdog but the game maybe similar to the Texas game. They could very well be a bit flat emotionally after these two games. We will see. Honestly, if it goes exactly like the Texas game did I’m thrilled. The dream would be a 2020 type game when State went up there and almost won seemingly out of nowhere. But it also wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s like 63-3.

The 2006 game where Croom took State to Athens and only lost 27-24 was a good one. State was very much in it the whole game.

Wasn’t a very good UGA team if I recall, true freshman Matthew Stafford was a turnover machine. But point taken. If I’m not mistaken that was the game where Croom punted from the 30 yard line instead of attempting a field goal… and then as you mentioned, the margin of defeat was…. 3 points. SMH. ETA: I stand corrected, that UGA team went 9-4 so they weren’t as bad as I remembered…. Did lose to both Vandy and Kentucky though so…. Weird team it looks like. pancho
texas may drop more in a few weeks if they can't beat georgia. maybe there isn't much difference in bama, georgia, texas or tennessee?

I think what hurt Texas was not covering the spread, but that doesn't make them a bad football team. The AP/Coaches rankings won't matter anyway.
