I shouldn’t have used youth in that statement. That success did disappear when they moved to the HS campus though.

The youth football programs are being run by former players that won titles at WC. In most cases they have sons playing. But you’re absolutely correct they have done very well since reorganization . I’m sure they are being coached like the guys that played with Coaches Boyles and Mangum coached the ones running the program.

They beat my pee wee team in the 2nd round of the playoffs this year. A lot of big boys

As far as I know Coach Hankins is still the coach. So there’s no hire to be made until he either resigns, fired or contract not renewed.

It's frustrating hearing people bring Corey Reynolds name up. It's like people have forgotten what it takes to win. Wayne County, Laurel, West Jones,  even George County all have the same caliber of players . What has always set them apart from one another was coaching. The coach, the coach. the coach. Reynolds would be in over his head in 5A but at least he would be able to talk to some of his relatives on monday about how many puppies the dog had over the weekend . Thats all that counts to that little voting block and then say Wayne County doens't have the players to win big anymore.

I just want to know how simple Cosell's buttermilk biscuit recipe is.  Last time I checked all you need is White Lily Flour, salted butter, & whole buttermilk.  If he's got one simpler than that, I want to see it.  I like how he gets that golden brown top on them.

You may or may not know, but do any players on WC basketball team play football? I just saw today that the basketball team is undefeated and ranked top 10 in the state.

They are a few including the Quarterback. Several people don’t know that a coaching change took place for basketball just a few weeks before school started. WC actually brought in one of their own to coach imagine that lol.

There has been some movement . I can't say what it is but I like what  i am hearing. Draw from that what you will as    I've made it clear who I don't want to get it .

Coach Hankins would have been better thought of if he had put in as much effort in making Wayne County a winner as he has to keep drawing a check.

So the person they look to hire is kind of a big name hire. I’m a little surprised he wanted to go there. He is a good coach though.
