This whole thing is because the people in the Bobby Jones admin were never made answer for all that missing money stolen by "hackers" lol. I would say it goes farther back than that. They won't open the books on how the mineral revenue is assayed, valuated , and the leases  given out. They are so afraid of it.

The school board should hire an independent firm to come in go over all of it then release the results to the public. It has to be done no matter what is exposed . You talk about the old blue hairs running for cover.

The whole town and school system have rotted from the top down .

It’s really hard to find a place for me to start in doling out an explanation that would give a clear view of this situation  so I guess I will start with me.

About a year ago I came on here and tried to rationalize as to why it wasn’t important for Coach Hankins to win football games at Wayne County. Even though I did it through clenched teeth. Knowing full well in the back of my mind it wasn’t true. I was defending a liar and a person who was using kids to cover for his total ineptness as a football coach . 

 

The coaching profession , especially at the high school level attracts  some really talented people that you can see just how talented they are brought to fruition by how their squad performs year after year. It also attracts bums looking to get by doing as little as possible even if it means bouncing around to a few jobs until they find a suitable host that lets them suck the public’s money for doing nothing.

When Hankins was first hired several around Waynesboro circulated his resume like it was something special. I read it and thought I wouldn’t hire this coach to do laundry much less coach football. It looked like something a sixth grader would write.  Again turning my head away from the truth.

*Overall head-coaching record is 169-62 (73.2%). Overall region record is 99-27 (79%).

2019 AHSAA North - South Game

-Defensive Coordinator for the South team

2011 ALABAMA - MISSISSIPPI All-Star Game

-Coached linebackers that included Reggie Ragland and Ryan Anderson

HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE

*Head Coach at Thomasville High School for 19 years. He took over in 2002 at the age of 28.

 

His teams have made the playoffs every year except 2019 when THS had only five seniors that played.

 

THS made deep runs in the playoffs the majority of years under Hankins. Most years in Thomasville they advanced past the first round of the Alabama High School playoffs. Under Hankins their playoff record was 26-17.

Quite laughable when you look back on it . The same people that touted this crap are nowhere to be found now. Besides the covid year where where they forfeited games Wayne County had not had a losing season since 1999.  This fat, lazy loud mouthed, bloated fake changed all of that and is now trying to force us to accept more of it and pay him 95000/per year of our money to do it. 

It’s him but it’s mostly Bubba Hathorne. 

There is only one way to deal with situations like this. You shine the light on it for what it is. The truth is a lot of people are scared to admit the truth in Wayne County for one reason or another . I am not .  Put me on that board I will show you how to deal with these freeloaders .

Over the next few days I will lay out the bare ugly truth that has put us here in the last ten years. Mods, who ever ,  you can get ready because I will name names.  Some most on here have never heard of. Probably a few pictures too. They won’t like it either.  I don’t want any more PMs  that I have violated such and such.If you have something to say put it on the main board for all to see.

Roll over and give them my info too. I don’t care . This fight has been brewing for far too long.  It’s our school and our team.  It’s time to pick a side

For 90% of schools, that’s not a bad resume. However coming from out of state… shouldn’t be hired at a blue-blood like Wayne County.

I could see how it could be looked at that way. After looking it over the first week I saw a lot of free lunches bouncing around these all star games  and coach who had did okay until the other schools in that class started to grow. Then he disappeared into the land between mid and total dog crap. 

Hathorne passed over Breland, Taylorsville Mitch Evans and letting Kat get another season who he lied to and fired.

      When it was revealed that Hankins was their man( which wasn't announced 

      until the last second) I immediately went in on his low t offense when I 

      watched some of the games from the sad team he was coaching. He called 

      it out when someone questioned him in a preview before the season. Saying 

     who cares as long as it is winning and Jack Hankins is a winner. I was right 

    yet again. Will you come back and admit you were wrong ? No. You won't.

    It might cause retaliation against your son-in-law who was hired by Hathorne 

    as an asst. coach on the heels of fat man Jack. Who I might add was working 

    away on a drilling rig or something and is now  still a coach right up the street 

    from you. What might happen to this dynamic if a coach with a winning vision

   starts getting rid of the ones just cashing a check. Once again the old making 

   sure my family gets to stay home while people like Kat are forced to leave . I

   could name hundreds of kids in that place that have been burdened by the 

   circumstance. Is it blind ignorance or arrogance thinking there is not a dam

   thing you can do about ? This is just one example of things you have turned

  a blind eye to and just shrugged when asked about it.

 

There's more than this up there but I want them to squirm a little wondering when the curtain gets pulled back on them. Someone has to be the person to speak for the ones that have to leave that could have made a huge difference had they been able to live and raise their kids close to where they grew up.

They are supposed to be making a hire in Feb. There are only two applications that have been put in. One coach has inquired about it. Hire him in the morning.

 

The other two that applied are Corey Reynolds and Daryl Carter. One is a flame out past any chance he will ever turn it around. How are you going to coach under Marcus that long and still can't run his offense ? The  other is running from a crumbling mess he helped create. Bubba called both of them when he thought Hankins might not make it past Jan.1 .   Those are his boys. He coached Corey Reynolds at WC and Carter worked under him at NEJ.  He hired a wing T man to spite what I was writing on here against that crap being in WC.  He called these dudes too because I listed them.

It appears the school board going to just not renew contracts after the school year. So maybe they are going to hire the replacement before the contracts are done.

Slick, the disgusting part in all of this is Hankins and Hathorne are throwing their own families under the dang bus.  All of this could have been done with class, but they intentionally chose the wrong road.

Hathorn does nothing with class.  Not even in his time at northeast jones as he slowly destroyed the winning culture they had there for 15-20 years.  Even after he quit coaching and became principle he still had a lot of say in the team. He was still interfering with them after being at Wayne county.

I have been screaming about this bum for ten years. Looking back we started sliding backwards when he showed up .  I am not sorry for saying this but some people are bad luck and just leave brokenness behind them. If you have dealings with them that bad luck will stick to you too.

 He left NEJ slamming doors and throwing things. 47-49 as a head coach. Basically what Wayne County is at the present . Maybe slightly worse . I have said it since the first season of Hankins . Bubba Hathorne is the head football coach at Wayne County high school. Hankins was just along for the ride but in the end will be the face of this train wreck.

Congratulations Bubba another one you have sent to the dumpster because they rubbed up against your bad luck. I would suggest getting cleansed of curses  if I were Hankins

No disrespect intended for Daryl Carter but not everyone in WC is ecstatic about him. He’s done a great job with the Oilers but he has a team that has been and will continue to be loaded with talent at their level. Hell to be honest they would have beaten this version of WC. We have had the smaller classification hire before in Baughman from Calhoun City at the time he had won Two or three titles there but couldn’t get it done at WC. I’m not sure Carter leaves anyway because Northeast Jones tried and that’s where he attended high school and won state titles in football and basketball I’m pretty sure. I know he won in football

NE Jones couldn’t pay him what Heidelberg is.
