You did. You did.  I would like to think my under valuing them played some part in them feeling disrespected and got the ball rolling in Vance having a head the size of a hippo all week. He thought he could just block the edge and make his son look like a superstar. 

From the looks of things it looks like all they did all week was practice celebrations and ways to be disrespectful.

Not official but I do believe Taylor ends the year with 2,781 yards rushing and 40 TD’s. Not good enough for Mr. 6A but his 211 yards and 4 TD’s tonight is enough for him to win the 6A title game MVP. I’m sure that and the gold ball will be enough for him.

Just realized this morning that the city of Grenada high school football teams went a combined 27-1 with two state championships. Whether they were MHSAA or MAIS fans, they saw some good football in that city. Grenada 6A state champions and Kirk Academy 3A state champions. Need to throw a city parade for that accomplishment.

How many rushes/pass attempts did Grenada have this season? I’m assuming they were a heavy rushing team

Coming into the game they had 237 passing attempts to 514 rushing attempts so lil over 2/1 rushing to passing. Taylor had 350 attempts averaging 7.3 ypc and 171 ypg. Cotton their main weapon at WR led them in receptions at 46 and yards at 648.

Yea give or take. They had 5 games where Trusty threw over 22 attempts with 2 of them being at 28 and then there were 2 games where he only threw 8 attempts. The rest of the games were between 13-17. Pretty much was based off how the game was going and what Coach Woods their OC saw coming into the game.

One big thing I was impressed with in Grenada that’s one of my biggest pet peeves in high school football is they would catch a punt instead of letting it bounce. So many times kids just let it bounce costing them valuable yardage. It cost Noxubee County 2 secs and a chance for one last play. Grenada was able to have great field position on two possessions because they fielded the punt instead of letting it bounce and it resulted in TD’s.
