Again, another uniformed post. Each officiating crew has 2 people that run the clock. One on the game clock and one on the play clock. And I can guarantee you each officiating group could not care less who wins.

it was the game clock them people in the press box was holding the clock when WL had the ball in the 2nd half that cheating and them refs know it too they took the game away from Shannon they didn't have to do that to Shannon, they did the same thing to Houston

You’re wild. Houston got beat 25-7. Officials didn’t have anything to do with that one. Houston being undisciplined, the same thing happened against Louisville, had more to do with them losing than the officials.

refs do get all the blame from that West Lauderdale game

If I had a dollar for every live game I watched from someone in the stands videoing and you being able to hear bleacher coaches complaining about a call from the ref that was actually the right call or what they would’ve done as the coach I wouldn’t have to work. I seriously doubt the refs who have no affiliation with WL went into halftime, looked at each other and said alright it’s 16-0 Shannon. It won’t look like the fix is in now if we start favoring WL. Maybe one team just went into half and made some good halftime adjustments.

My experience has been the refs help the home team in Lauderdale, Kemper, Neshoba, Newton, and Scott Counties. In the playoffs they are assigned by MHSAA and not the local association.

Actually the first two rounds and maybe third also uses assigners from the host school association. North/South State games are assigned by MHSAA to outside association and that assigner chooses officials and clock operators for the game.

I'll admit the worst clock operation as far as starting and stopping this season was one of these playoff games where the 2 officials basically took over 1/3 of the press box and acted like all other humans had the plague. And do not inquire as to why they can't keep up with field position and down and distance. They are here only to be impartial.  They did however ask when the free food would arrive for them.  The other playoff games have had good clock operation but still no down and distance or field position. Very unprofessional

Officials aren't required to do down distance and where the ball is. That's why they are called the clock operator. At Hattiesburg we've got someone hired to be the scoreboard operator and he puts up all the numbers.

It's gets a little rough if the offense is in hurry up mode.

I get they are officials and all that but its a poor product from the mhsaa. and when they were asked about this very thing, they said it would be too crowded and they needed to pay attention.

When Madison Central and Tupelo played the first time, MC capitalized on 2- LB int's on short mid throws and a blocked punt scoop and score. I think if Tupelo plays cleaner early tonight, they'll have a much better chance of winning.  Thoughts?

Tupelo can't play like they did the first meeting got down 20-3 at half and turn that switch on the 2nd half Tupelo gotta play a full game without playing way behind and Tupelo coaches gotta be on point tonight making their in game adjustments

People have complained about officiating at WL for years. They can’t wrap their heads around a team playing diciplined on defense and holding the ball on offense. They complain about Enterprise-Clarke the same.

The complaint is about all the referees from that region of the state. That are is known for not having the best officials supposedly. But that doesn’t matter in the playoffs because refs in the playoffs come from different regions
