Based on what I saw from previous year numbers plus what I have been told (which is not in any way  to be interpreted 100% accurate), it would be something like:

    West Jones

    Hattiesburg

    George County

    South Jones

    Terry

    Jim Hill

Petal could possibly be in this mix as well, but I was told by an admin friend in the Petal School District they are 90% sure they will be going to 7A.  I am sure once the Simpson County Consolidation happens, they will most likely be a 6A program which would place them in region 3 in the near future.

Simpson will be 5A according to last year's numbers. I did not look at 8-10 th numbers.

I think the region you posted last week looked accurate.

    Mize

    Raleigh

    Collins

    North Forrest

    Perry Central

My concern is Wilkinson County that 2A list in January along with Jefferson County. Then add West Lincoln to the possibility then 2 or 3 schools are coming to Region 8.

Executive  committee meets tomorrow to go over and approve classifications and regions. I don"t know if it will be officially released tomorrow but I"m sure there will be some unofficial leaks if it"s not.

Good news I suppose. The longer the meeting means more questions and probably a Thursday release.

    Is it Christmas morning today?

Reporters that are important people in the media world have not been called to office yet for unvailing of Classifications and Regions. Has to be by Friday.

Does Magee have a psssing game because the 3rd best defense in Region 5 struggles against the pass?

Yes they do but not to the extent of many like Hazlehurst and Raleigh. AND that defense at Enterprise will STRUGGLE.......

All of  you are acting like expected fathers in the waiting room waiting for your child to be born with the release of the classification numbers. LOL. This is not really a big deal.

Then don't look at this subject.

The classifications are supposed to come out this week correct?

First week of November is what the director said. Probably not today. Probably Friday! However, his last few podcasts were on Mondays.

    If it's like it was last season, it will be 3a at 11am. 1a at 3pm and 6a at 7pm on Friday. 4a 11am 2a 3pm 5a 7pm on Saturday

I thought they were switching the two early games every year. Maybe this year 1A/3A/6A and then 2A/4A/5A.

    Enterprise

    Enterprise

    Scoring Defense #3 3A

    Scoring Offense #13 3 way tie 3A

I am sure there other efficient that can be used to determine  the metrics of a season.

No Mancuso wont. Its very hard to beat Enterprise at home. Those JDC boys are going to have a two hour road trip to a hostile envirorment.  Enterprise is better than St Stanislaus. JDC may win but it wont be easy.

Add Jackson murrah to your count for this re-class.  If they stay independent next re-class, all sports will be independent.

Then we may see what the director may do with tied teams. The proposal was 40. His podcast in January he stated appx 40. We shall see. Perhaps 1 school will be given the option and the other have to except or get the next option to stay down.

IF a team would have to be independent in all sports, I'd be shocked to see anyone do it. Murrah is a strong basketball school and one of the most successful historically. I just can't see them giving that up.

St. Andrew's too is dominant in many other sports outside of football and it's unlikely they would want to give that up as well to play independent in everything.

    Agree

1 hr and 22 Minutes by way of 84 to Laurel and Enterprise up 59. Good grief it's under 2 hrs going up 35 to Raleigh and 18 over to Clarke County.

I’ve been on here for bout 10 years now and based off him Enterprise was gonna win the state championship in at least 9 of those years. Nothing new just a different year.

Agree there's always next year for most.

Correct, I asked my principal about independent and if all sports had to go and he was unsure.  It is not in the handbook as far as I could find, so I’m taking your word on that.  No reason to go Independent

They passed that ruling in April and will go in affect with this reclassification year 2022-23.
