I thought all Head Coaches had to be certified staff for football? Is that not the case any more?
Suppose to be, who isn't certified?

Private school pay is poor - which is why we see so many teachers retire from public and then go teach private once they have full state retirement and benefits.
On paper, coaches probably make less than in reality… once the boosters handle vehicles, additional stipends and such.
I need a list of the private schools providing vehicles.

You can look at some of the schools pay schedule and see they don't pay teacher very well. Then you add a few thousand here and there. The better option will always be public schools.

Don't we already have rules? Granted they are subjective depending on what school you are transferring to.

They didn't post the job. Desoto County only hires from within Desoto County or people, who have been in Desoto County at one point. It has been very successful for the County as a whole (sarcasm). They will hire someone on staff, and if it isn't Colin Boone then not sure what they are doing.

I don't understand this move at all. They have a pretty tight knit thing going down there. They might hire within. They don't want to get away from their system.
Can't ruffle too many feathers with this hire. They graduated their entire offense and defense basically.

Hearing that they are going to combine Leake Central and Leake County together. Don't know when but heard from someone who works for the school district that it is going to happen.
That has been in the works for years but they haven't followed through. Same colors same mascot. Gets very confusing

I bet Brannan is wishing he'd have stayed at Clarkdale coaching football. Wouldn't have had to deal with this.
No do in the fight, but that Superintendent pay at one of the best school districts in the state, plus your high 4 for retirement seems like a good choice as long as no employees are involved.

Had he not been promoted he would've been offered the OC job at Goula, Gulfport, and possibly others. There are more changes but all of those have been known about for months. (Retirements, relocations, etc)
Did Gulfport's OC leave?

What changes?

Based on the article I read I know he is bringing Ricky Woods with him. Woods was with him at Grenada the 2 years they went to the championship but not this past year.
He was at Demopolis in Alabama, but it looks like they made a hire. Be weird for him to go back to South Panola.

You have to recruit your kids as well to keep them from transferring.

South Pontotoc is apparently open. Has Saltillo hired?
Who did Scott Central hire? They advertised an assistant coach opening.
