Apparently the field in Pearl wasn’t in great shape with all the rain. I was listening to it and DK said there was numerous slips and the umps got together and decided to call it.

For OM the young arms have to start pitching better. Elliot being out forced Dougherty into a different role and forced someone into his role. And not having a guy like Mallitz hurts.

I can guarantee that WJ would have beat Oxford in 03. And in my opinion that was the best WJ team Pierson had. Or most complete team he had.

I jokingly made the comment to my dad that at least OM got swept by a top ten team. I honestly never loved the high preseason love for OM. It’s tough to replace Elko Graham and Bench. And add the pitching loss to that.

Keith Carter needs to pony up and make sure Coach Yo doesn’t go anywhere.

I honestly feel LSU is the clear favorite in the West. And 2-7 is a crapshoot that could go anyway.

Most Bama fans didn’t like Golding. But he was also replacing Kirby. It will be interesting to see how Golding does without the pressure of being under Saban. It can’t be easy to be a DC with Saban looking over your shoulder.

It was a nice tribute to Leach to start TT first possession.

I don’t think I have ever seen a worse performance by an offensive line. Especially in the first half. I hated the fake punt which a blind man seen from a mile away. I didn’t mind going for it so much on 4th down. But gosh the O line was just horrible. Judkins didn’t have a chance to get them when he is getting hit in the backfield. Defense played good enough to pull out a win but OM couldn’t catch a break. Some very poor missed calls. On the TD before half the TE is blocking his guy into the end zone when the guy catches it. On another one the LT is about 5 yards down field. The missed face mask on Evans. Dart took a couple shots after he threw the ball. But OM made too many costly mistakes and TT capitalized on them. Nice hustle by Battles to knock the ball out for a touchback. Dart showed toughness and flashes of why he won the job. Now he gets a whole offseason to get better.

I honestly think Kiffen was right when he made the comment about getting caught up in the hatred of these rivalries. Something like this really kicks you in the stomach. Leach was one of the most likeable coaches out there. And for sure his interviews will be missed.

Lsu and Usc got experienced qbs in the portal. I know Dart played some at Usc but this was his first full time starter job and it showed in some big moments.

I think it’s gonna be in the 9.5 - 10 range. And the NIL money is gonna be raised significantly. Anyone with a brain knows that he isn’t going to be at OM forever. But I just have a hard time seeing Auburn being job that lures him away.

I have always been in favor of taking the points early and being aggressive late.

Well I can tell you the basketball coach was the official that threw the flag on both TD’s that were called back.

If WC has everyone healthy we might could make it interesting but last week we had very few at close to 100% with the flu. Hopefully this week will be better.

If he is able to have a few more years like he had this year he will be a hot candidate for a bigger job.

I know Picayune is pretty good defensively. But the best defense against a good offense is to limit their possessions. Take the long drives and capitalize into points. And force Gautier to try and score quick.

I think some of it is the lack of an explosive passing game and teams sit on short stuff and running game. And some of it has to do with Dart being in a new system. Hopefully it gets better with him getting more comfortable.

That is correct. Only time they moved the ball is when they spread us out and ran the big guy.
